私の絵画作品は、イラストとはスタイルが異なります。イラストでは、線画を多用して、まるで紙から飛び出る準備ができているかのような生き生きとしたイメージを出しています。私のファインアート作品は、形や色にフォーカスしていて、より抽象的になる傾向があります。絵画に、より「時間を超越した」感覚を持たせたいからです。私のイラストでは脳に語りかけようとしていますが、一方絵画では見る人の魂に触れたいと思っています。私は、アートは自然の力（海、川、森、山など）に似た「癒しの力」を持っていると信じています。私の絵では、美しい穏やかな場所にいるときに得られるのと同じような感覚を呼び起こしたいと考えています。

My paintings are very different from my illustrations. With my illustrations I use lines to create lively images, even ones that seem ready to jump off the page! My fine art work tends to be more abstract, with the focus on shapes and colors. This is to give them a more 'timeless' feeling. You could say that my illustrations are meant to speak to the brain whereas with my paintings I hope to touch the viewer's soul. I believe that art possess a 'healing power' similar to the power of nature (the sea, rivers, forests, mountains, etc.) and so my paintings are meant to evoke the same response you get from being in a serene place of beauty.

Over many years I have illustrated for a wide range of publications and advertisements, working in a variety of styles. I have received awards in the US, Japan and internationally. It is my dynamic line illustrations, whether simple line drawings or with the addition ofwatercolor, that I find to be most expressive, as well as most applicable to the different needs of clients.
